Welcome to the eDigestive blog – I’m Janet Pfeiffer, RN, B.Sc (Nutrition), Natural Therapist and Digestive Health Specialist.
Within these pages, it’s my aim to bring you practical, proven and common-sense advice to help you overcome the plethora of digestive related complaints that afflict millions around the globe … IBS, colitis, acid reflux, hemorrhoids, crohn’s, constipation, diarrhea, bloating, ulcers, diverticulitis and everyday “stomach ache”… to name just a few.
These are some of the most common illnesses on the market today – and they’re also among the most misunderstood and over-prescribed.
I’ve got so accustomed to talking about this stuff that it doesn’t much bother me anymore – but I know that anything from the tummy down rates close to a 10 on the squeamish and embarrassment scale for most of you.
So, I’m going to be giving you the low-down on the “low down” – everything you wish you could ask your health professional if only you knew what it is you really need to be asking … because when it comes to curing digestive complaints knowledge is the best medicine.
